Spending Time With Love Ones

19 Jun (Fri)
------------
My youngest daughter loves to do grocery shopping together with me. So, after our dinner, we went to do grocery shopping. She enjoyed herself very much, she said she wants to do it more often together with me :-).

23 Jun (Tue)
--------------
I took leave to bring my children, my sister's 3 children and mum to the club to bowl and swim. As my car is not able to take so many people, my dad graciously opted not to go. As my sister's children had music lesson in the morning, I brought my mum and children to shop at Tampines Mall first. Well, I made a mental note to spend more time with my family, especially my parents. They have done so much for me. I really thank GOD for blessing me with such great parents. I can see that my mum enjoyed the shopping and just to laze around to see the grandchildren having fun - bowl and swim. It is really a luxury to relax at the swimming pool on a weekday afternoon. It is so blissful as it is not crowded at all. I plan to do this every school holiday :-).

Bonding With My Eldest Daughter

I took leave on 16 Jun and brought my eldest daughter to Asian Civilisation Museum. My husband, who happened to be on leave, sent us there. We spent about 3 hours there, looking at the permanent exhibits and the special exhibit - KangXi Exhibits. We joined the 1-hour guided tour for the permanent exhibits. Well, the main intention is to help my daughter appreciates History better. I'm glad I also learned in the process.
After we left the museum at 1pm, we took a leisure walk to Raffles City to take lunch and shop. From Raffles City, we walked through the City Mall to Suntec City. Well, I guess it is not our day to do shopping as the clothes that we tried on do not look nice on us.... .
My husband and my youngest daughter joined us for dinner at Marina Square.

Well, I'm glad to have the chance to spend the day just with my eldest daughter. I told her we should do it more often.

"Lunch Time Shopping"

I've written a fair bit on "Lunch Time Shopping" but all was lost when I forgot to save it.

Let me try to recall what I'd written :

I enjoyed my lunch time shopping with my colleagues, Jane and Jolene today. With their help, I managed to get myself a mop to mop the floor. In case you wonder, "this is the first time she is mopping floor?". Well, you see, I used to use cloth and not mop - yes, I went down on all fours to wipe the floor. But, I think age is catching up on me. It is too tiring for me.

I'm glad that I've found a friend in Jane - my colleague. She is just so knowledgeable and so bubbly. I like her outlook in life. From her, I learn about the basics of cooking and household stuff.

Today, I bought quite a number of stuff from NTUC :
- Blueberries and Strawberries - my youngest daughter's favourite
- Potato to make potato salad - my eldest daughter's favourite
- lemon grass - to ward off mozzies (yes, I learned from Jane that by squashing the base and leaving it in the room, mozzies will stay away)
- and of course, my helper - the mop :-)

After The "Tsunami"

I've kept my promise and I'm attending a Life Group every Friday.

I'm without a maid now. I'm trying my best to juggle between work and housework. I'm very blessed to have my mum who cooks for me during the weekdays and who takes care of my youngest daughter. I also managed to get my brother's maid to help out in the ironing.
I try to spread out the housework but at times, they just piled up.

I've reached a stage of my life where I question "What is the meaning of Life?". Waking up, going to work, coming back from work, housework, sleep. Is there more to Life than just that? I have alot of questions in my mind but there are no answers to them.

The next thing I want to do is to do exercise which I hope to start soon and to have the discipline to do it regularly. Wish me luck!
